The sanctuary is spread over 14 acres (57,000 m on the southern bank of the Kavanar River. It has well laid out paths for moving around within the sanctuary. Beyond the sanctuary, one can take a boat ride in Vembanad Lake or along the Kavanar River.

1400 Hrs: Sightseeing of Thirunakkara Mahadev Temple in Kottayam

 

This Hindu temple in Kottayam is located in the middle of the town centre and was dedicated to Lord Shiva after being built at the beginning of 16th century. The then Raja of The kumkur was responsible for the construction of the temple, which illustrates a definite conforming to the typical Kerala style.

 

1800 Hrs: Back to the Resort

2000 Hrs: Diner at the resort

 

Day - III

1100 Hrs: Depart for Jetty

1300 Hrs: Check in at House Boat
